Buying your Figma

Okay, now I'm going to help you.

First, let's keep using that Dead Master figma you found as an example, alright?
Here she is, don't worry. You'll hopefully have her by the end of this!

Right, you've tried Amazon and Ebay, and, naturally, you're weary of buying passably fake Figmas, which could leave you out of quite a bit of saved-up money, and feeling upset.

Don't panic; you DO NOT need to buy from the Japanese websites. In my experience, I have very easy to use websites that all stock figmas, ALL IN ENGLISH! :D

Dude, English sites are a good thing! Don't be worried about buying from them just because they are not Japanese sites; these sites are all very trust-worthy.

First website; JBOX, or Jlist, if you want to be on the more 'adult' version of the site. (Jlist is the same as JBOX, save for the fact that they show you Adult items for sale).
Here it is --> http://www.jbox.com/home
To find your figmas, simply go to the 'Anime & Toys' section of the site.
Hey! Sure enough, JBOX currently stock the Dead Master figma you've been wanting! RESULT! In fact, she's on pre-order, meaning that she hasn't been released yet, and you can pay in advance for her!

Next, is HobbyLink Japan. http://www.hlj.com/top/Fig?page=2 This one is a litte harder to navigate, but lets again use your Dead Master figma as an example. Type 'Dead Master' into the search box right at the top of the home page, and you should get this page here -
Oh, and there is Dead Master again! Second from the top is your desired figma!
Clicking on her, you may feel a little worried to see that she is being sold for Yen, the Japanese currency. But don't worry. Once you've clicked on her, you'll be on this page, correct? Well, move your curser over the price, and you'll see the exchange rate in Pounds, Euros, and US dollars. See? She's not that expensive here, is she?
I'll advise you on another post about which my most prefered out of all of these is for prices and such.

Next, is Tokyo Toys, which is easier for UK residents like myself, but doesn't stock as many figmas you would like, in fact, they do not even stock the Dead Master figma at the current time, but they do offer a range of other figmas, and anime and game-related items! http://tokyotoys.com/ It's very easy to navigate, so you should have no trouble with it. Simply search 'figma' into their search bar at the side, and you will see all the figmas they currently have on sale.

If you have any questions -  need help with any sites, buying or finding a particular figma that you have been looking for, please leave a comment in the box below and I will get back to you as soon as I can! ^w^

An introduction to Figma-collecting

So you've just finished watching your latest anime. You're so in love with it! The story, the characters.. you'll be thinking about it all for months to come!

You Google the name of your favourite character - maybe Dead Master from BRS - and you find something that gets your intrigued. Looking closer, you realise it's a posiable figure!

Dude, that's awesome!

So, you set off searching for more information about the figures, still keeping that image of Dead Master in your mind, and discover that they're called 'Figmas'.

Now you know what they are, that there are even more of them for you to collect, all from your favourite games and anime, even Vocaloid, you want to go about collecting them - starting off with that Dead Master figma that made you fall in love with the figures.

Obviously, you don't know where to go, so your first idea is Amazon or Ebay - you trust these sites as easy to use, and in English.

So, you head to it, and find things like this ^

There she is, the Dead Master figma you dreamt of! But wait, you need to slow down and have a look.
Remember, you found out that figmas can be quite expensive. You know that cheap-looking ones should be avoided, and inspect the pictures closely, as some pictures could be stolen from the actual Japanese websites where the figmas are normally sold.

Remembering this, you think that it's going to be difficult to trust Ebay or Amazon; they could all easily be fakes or Chinese reproductions.
So, with a heavy heart, you're now stuck.

Hello, my name is Maid-sama, and I'm going to guide you into the world of figmas.

New lolita clothing!

So I went back to this gothic and lolita store I frequently go to in Taiwan. It's called J-live and I know everyone who works there. I'm friends with them all and they give me discounts, invite me to events etc. Being with them is awesome. Only problem is that we don't speak the same language! Pity. Today I bought a black lolita blouse:

And a sweet lolita skirt.
The photo quality isn't that good, sorry xD I didn't bother to put on accessories and shoes. I just wanted to show you what I bought ^^
